A Digression

Many times in my childhood, we were reduced to splashing around in a blown up wading pool. My brother Jake recently told me a story that I don't remember.



He claimed that my three brothers were enjoying the little pool when I ran up and threw a very unhappy cat into the water.





Claws met children and plastic and pretty soon the water was gushing out of pool into the grass until there was nothing left but wrinkles in the bottom of the pool, some blood on little boy ankles and a mad wet cat.


As I say, I have no memory of this event, but I can imagine the chaos. Heh heh.
