Al Haggerty served in the Navy for 27 years as a ship driver and rocket scientist. He has been a factory worker, a ditch digger, a skydiver, a pilot, a ship navigator, a radar engineer, and a contestant on the Jeopardy! game show.

As United States Deputy Undersecretary of Defense at the Pentagon, Mr. Haggerty worked in technology security and counterintelligence.

 

Mr. Haggerty holds degrees in oceanography/atmospheric science and in engineering. He is currently a consultant on defense technology and clean energy, and lives with his wife in Richland, Washington.
